This boat excursion takes place on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Departure from the port of Marina di Campo at 9:30 a.m. (it is advisable to be at the port 30 minutes before casting off), the mini-cruise around the island of Elba takes about 6 hours and also includes three swimming stops.
As soon as we leave the Gulf of Marina di Campo, we pass the beach of Fonza on our left, which is also the border between the municipality of Campo nell’Elba and Capoliveri. As soon as we have passed the rock of the Triglia, which is also visible from Marina di Campo, we first see the Gulf of Lacona with its beautiful sandy beaches of Laconella and Lacona. Then we take a ride towards Capo Stella and the beaches of Zuccale, Barabarca, Madonna delle Grazie, Morcone, Innamorata and the beautiful Gemini Islands.
Then we visit the Grotte delle Capre, the old mine and Punta Calamita with all its ruins, the iron mining industry that has been abandoned for years and has now become a national strategic reserve. Before going back, we will have a nice swim stop on the black beach, which will stay in your heart.
During the trip we see the village of Porto Azzurro with the fortifications, Rio Marina, Cavo and the small hamlets of Nisporto, Nisportino and Bagnaia, which are just before the Gulf of Portoferraio.
The natural harbor of Portoferraio is very impressive. Overlooked by the Medici fortresses, once we have passed the section of the port, you can see the outer part of the Villa Napoleon (La Villa dei Mulini), which is in a strategic and panoramic position from which to observe and watch the emperors could control the sea.
The boat trip continues along the cliffs and white beaches of Ghiaie, Capo Bianco, Sansone to the Viticcio peninsula. (A second swim stop is planned in this section).
The mini-cruise continues its route through the Gulf of Biodola and Procchio, past the beaches of Spartaia and the island of Paolina, until it reaches the gates of the charming coastal village of Marciana Marina, built in the Ligurian style.
The boat trip continues along the northwest coast of Elba, past the coastal town of Sant’Andrea and then the lighthouse of Patresi and the village of Chiessi. This is where the section of the Costa del Sole begins, and the circuit of the island continues along the west coast.
We go towards Pomonte, where the last wonderful swim stop awaits us with a visit to the Pomonte wreck, which can be seen from the surface of the sea by simple snorkeling with a mask. You swim among schools of fish and you will be enchanted by the beauty of the wreck and its marine environment.
On the last section, which always stretches along the Costa del Sole, we see the beautiful and wild tip of Fetovaia, pass the beaches of Seccheto and Cavoli with a visit to the Blue Grotto and then return to the starting point.
